It’s an oldie but I like it . On Garfield Minus Garfield, the lazy orange cat is removed from all the Garfield strips and you’re left with an interesting and surprisingly readable depiction of Jon Arbuckle (to quote the site’s blurb) as “an isolated young everyman (who) fights a losing battle against loneliness”.
